Deco Elephant Head

This decorated elephant head is one of many images in a collection created to show the beauty of the majestic animals. Each line and shape was created to be viewed as an ornament that gives life to the elephant and highlights its grandeur. It's silhouette cannot be mistaken, but it's ornate decoration can be left up to interpretation.

This drawing is done in black ink and is unique in that it tells its own story. Each shape and line tells a narrative which ultimately plays a part in the entire piece. During the production of the drawing, I never plotted out where I wanted to go with each line or shape. The drawing was designed to allow each person that looks at it to have their own interpretation and view of what the drawing looks like, which is the beauty of the piece.

 This drawing is designed to capture the eye.  It doesn't use color for beauty, but instead uses only black ink  along with unique shapes and lines to create the effect of motion. Together the two create a stunning scene of the Arizona desert. It displays Arizona's many scenic routes through the winding roads, past a collection of cactus and brush, breath taking view of rugged mountains, animated cloud cover and beautiful sunsets. Even more unique is that the shapes and lines, construct highlights of the setting sun casting a shadow over the beautiful landscape.

 This Black ink drawing captures an intimate scene of one of Arizona's beautiful sunsets. The strategic etching features highlights on the mountains from the sun as it descends . The etching also serves another purpose which gives the effect of the sun's shadow as it descends behind the mountains, making the shadow the predominate feature in the drawing, creating shapes that tell the story of the piece.

This Ink illustration is named "The Beginning", because it's start began from  the center dot in the middle of the page.  It represents the universe and it's theory of the Big Bang.  Every line and shape in the drawing is the effect of the dots origin and represents the growing universe.

This decorated lion head is one of many images in a collection created to show the beauty of majestic animals. This drawing displays grandeur of the lion. Beginning with the flowing lines in the mane, on to dramatic highlights of it's profile that captures the dominant  features of this powerful creature. This piece sits atop a background that mimics a worn ancient cloth. This drawing symbolizes strength, power  and reverence and such a symbol is only reserved for the "King" of the jungle.

This abstract ink drawing, reenacts the explosion of a star as its minerals are thrown across space to help form earth thus giving us copper. Not only does the exploding star tell a story, it is also used as a prop to symbolizes Earths sun, one of Arizona's dominant features along with mountains and cactus. Nestled in the flowing mountain, symbolic images tell another story of Arizona's long history with mining stemming back to 5000 BC with Native Americans. Lastly, text trims the boarder of this peace along with burned edges symbolizing a copper like look and further telling the abstract story of Arizona copper mining.
